Shpil mir nokh amol mayn fidl

Every year a tireless local lawyer and pianist, Gary Berman, puts on a benefit performance of Yiddish song called "What's Not to Like?" - in 2013 the show will be October 6. He's asked me to sing this song and since I had to write myself up a lead sheet (because his sheet music is so tiny I can't read it), I thought I'd offer it to anybody who's interested, with the lyrics and translation.

By the way, if you want tickets to the show, write yiddishsongfest@aol.com or call 919-682-7468.

Here are two views of Karsten Troyke with his Trio Scho singing it (as "Spiel noch amol" or "Shpil Mir Noch Amul mayn Fidel")
